"Hey, it's alright, I mean, new environment and all." Jean said. "Besides, I know lots of people that aren't always the most pleasant of humans at times, in fact I am pretty sure that everyone is like that."
Meanwhile, Ike ran into Marth in the food line.
"Hey, you must be new here," Ike said. "My name is Ike, what's your's?"

"Pfft, nobody is like that, dear Senpai." Ripple replied sadly. "How can I be a nicer person?" Ripple asked.
"I'm Marth Altea. I just transferred to MSAGY this year, and I'd have to say...it's been a pretty weird day for me. Speaking of which...didn't I just see you standing with the girl I apologized to a moment ago?" Marth asked curiously.

"Don't be so hard on yourself, Ripple, the first day of school is always stressful." Jean said. "Besides there are lots of people out there waayyy more terrible than you, just go on the internet for numerous examples." Jean stared at her homemade lunch.
"Besides, I'm sure if it's as bad as you think it is, it'll probably get better. If it doesn't, then we are doing something wrong." Jean sighed. "Anyway, have you met any new idiots besides Ike yet?" Jean obviously didn't really think Ike was an idiot. She was just doing a bad job if trying to make her Kohai feel better.
"Uh, actually yeah, I was just about to bring it up, I mean I don't know her very well but my friend, Jean, does, so, I guess I should make friends with her too.. So why did you have to apologize to her?" Ike asked as he put food into his tray.

"Why are you saying that while looking at your homemade lunch? Are you implying that the only thing I'm better than is your homemade lunch?" Ripple said indignantly. "Well, I suppose that's true...."
Marh got fud and 8 it all up. he wantz teh kechap and da mustturd
"Jean? Is that your MOM? Because I'm pretty sure that's the only friend you'll ever have."
Marth shrugged. "Well, you see...in first period, she seemed mad at me, and I was just wondering if I'd done something wrong. I was hoping she's just having a bad day, and perhaps she would be feeling better now."

Jean looked at Ripple. "Um, I'm looking at my lunch because I'm going to eat now, do you have a lunch miss Sassypants?" Jean said opening her boring brown bag of food. "Wasn't implying anything, stop taking everything I do so seriously."
Ike was confused by Marth's answer. "Why don't you go ask what's wrong, I think she'll tell you. Also, I am pretty sure she is having a bad day."
Ike figured Marth didn't want to hear what Ike had left to say so he started back to the table Jean was sitting at.
"My mother is actually dead," Ike replied. "Thank you for your insensitive comment."

"Well, don't flatter, Senpai. I never took you seriously!" Ripple grinned so Senpai would know she was not being completely serious. "See, don't take everything you hear seriously, right?"
Marth hesitated to follow Ike. He didn't want to seem to persistent, seeing as how Ripple didn't look as if she wanted to talk to him anyway. But at the same time, he did want to make sure everything was smoothed over. Conflict left unmanaged often turned ugly.
Marth gathered his dignity and courage, and followed Ike like a stalker back to the table Ripple was seated at.
Good. I wanted to hurt your not precious feerings anyways broseph.

Jean smiled, grateful that Ripple was feeling good enough to kid. She noticed Ike walking back to the table. Jean was genuinely concerned about what would happen when the two-Ripple and Ike-started to interact again. Then she noticed that the apologizer was following Ike.
Ike sat down next to Jean. Not sure what to say, he was quiet, probably making Ripple more content with his presence.
"Jokes on you I have no feeling," Ike laughed heartlessly.

Ripple turned to Ike and said "About earlier...I am truly sorry. I was kind of a jerk to you, even though I didn't mean it. Sometimes I'm blinded by my emotions, and today's just been really crappy for me, so I'm having trouble controlling them right now. I hope you're not mad at me and that we can still be friends, and I'm willing to do almost anything to make it up to you!" Ripple apologized profusely.
Marth stopped abruptly, surprised at how genuinely Ripple's apology sounded. Is this the same girl I was listening to earlier? he wondered ludicrously.

Jean was surprised at Ripple's sudden change in demeanor.
Ike too, was surprised. "Uh, you don't have to do anything. It's ok really, we all have those days." Ike said understanding Ripple 's situation.

Ripple sighed. "Unfortunately, I'm the kind of person who has those days often. It's a personality problem, not an environmental factor problem..............."
Marth decided he should just walk away. He didn't want to interrupt this meaningful conversation.
As he was turning around, Ripple looked up and saw him.
"Nee, kimi!" Ripple said. "Kocchi ni kite."
Ripple then realized she had spoken to him in Japanese on instinct, and her face turned red yet again.
She looked away, not wanting to be more embarrassed than she already was.

Jean looked at Ripple confused. "Why are you so embarrassed?" She asked Ripple, unsure of what to say to comfort her. She looked at Ike for advice, then she realized she was looking at Ike for advice and rethought her plan of making Ripple feel better. "Is it really that bad, Ripple?" She said, wondering why Ripple was so embarrassed around this new kid.

Ripple shook her head, hiding her face with her hands.
Marth, surprised for about the billionth time that day, turned back yet again to the table and looked directly at Ripple.
"Nihongo wo...wakarimasu ka?" he asked tentatively.
Ripple poked her head up and shook her head. "Iie...watashi wa...baka desu. Hontou ni. Eeto...ano...maa, kore wa...yakkai desu."
Marth started chuckling to himself. "Hey, are you alright?"
Ripple frowned. "Are you laughing at me?"
Marth shook his head. "I just think you're adorable."
Ripple blushed profusely. "I'm...not adorable at all...I'm a terrible person, actually."

Jean snorted in amusement. Then at the sudden realization that she just made the most unattractive noise in all of the world, she put her head down and tried to pretend that it never happened. Jean was almost certain that she had never seen Ripple be so embarrassed over so little, maybe she had had a long day and was just tired, right?
"Ripple, you aren't a terrible person," she said, trying to ease the embarrassment that Ripple may be feeling.
"What is even happening?" Ike asked. He looked from Jean to Ripple to Marth, questioning why he would tell Marth to talk to Ripple in the first place. That might have been a mistake...

Ripple took a deep breath to calm herself, and faced Senpai and Ex-stupidityIke.
"So. This morning I walked into 1st period, which was English, and this guy was surrounded by a whole bunch of our classmates making a whole bunch of commotion and then I found out that he's a new student and I was...slightly upset that he was getting so much attention the first day and everyone was being loud and loud things irritate me so I ended up glaring at him and he noticed me glaring at him and so after that I just kind of wanted to avoid him but apparently he felt like he had done something wrong and decided to apologize to me and now we are in this mess of a situation," Ripple spoke about 1000 words per minute, and gasped for breath after she was done explaining. "That is all... I just get embarrassed really easily..." she said, blushing even a little at that.
Marth nodded in agreement, not having much to offer to the conversation.

"Sounds like you had quite a strage morning," Jean said. "And I supposed the strangeness just never ended for you, right?"
She smiled, obviously amused by the situation that Ripple had gotten herself into. "I think you can handle this though, Ripple." She said -encouragingly?-. "I mean, didn't you say you needed to meet more people to feel more comfortable?"
Ike, on the other hand, did not understand a word Ripple said, thus he continued not knowing what was going on. He was, however, ok with that, considering he may not be much of a help anyway.
